Trained to be experts

The Permanent Committee for Labour Affairs, Dubai conducted a training session on 21st July 2022 for Ontime’s workers. The session was designed innovatively and in tune with the changing times and scenario, was effectively communicative, interactive and informative.

PCLA, Dubai aims to maintain stable relationship between employers and workers and works towards to prevent labour rights abuse. The body reiterates its commitment to bring about an effective labour culture in the region by performing timely and diverse training programs for private and social organisations to consolidate UAE’s and Dubai’s drive to implement progressive labour policies that integrate global best practices.

This time the gesture by PCLA for Ontime was even more significant and objective in terms of life, health and safety of the workers. The sessions aimed at ensuring workers to know their rights and duties. Since the immigrants are constantly exposed to exploitation and cheatings at various degrees. The session was multi-dimensional in approach in addressing the issue. Ontime, the leading manpower provider in Dubai, has been very keen on organising such programs to bring awareness amongst the workers ever since its formation. This time too, the collaboration with PCLA was fruitful and brought about intended awareness to the lot.
It is also important to impart knowledge to workers about their wellbeing and health aspects. The workers were advised how to stay away from harmful substances like alcohol, drugs and other additive substances.
The preliminary results of recent surveys conducted by PCLA demonstrate a significant increase in workers’ knowledge across all topics covered.

Mr. Abdulla Lashkari, Secretary General PCLA led the session. Certificates were distributed to the participants by PCLA in appreciation to their efforts. Ontime’s Executive Director Mr. Abdullah Bin Hussain and their parent firm Pearl Investment’s CEO Mr. Mohamed Rafi were also present in the event.
