In the UAE, a PRO -Public Relations Officer -is the person responsible for managing all government-facing documentation and approvals on behalf of a business. This includes interactions with MOHRE, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), the Department of Economic Development (DED), and other regulatory bodies.
For most businesses, managing these requirements in-house is either a significant time burden on HR and admin teams, or it requires a dedicated employee whose sole job is navigating government processes.

Managing government documentation internally can be time-consuming and expensive. Outsourcing your PRO services to Ontime gives your business access to experienced professionals, faster processing, and ongoing compliance support—without the overhead of hiring and managing an in-house resource.
PRO stands for Public Relations Officer. In the UAE, a PRO is the person — or team — responsible for handling all government-related documentation and processes on behalf of a company. This includes visa applications, work permit processing, trade license renewals, labour approvals, Emirates ID coordination, and any dealings with government authorities like MOHRE, GDRFA, and the Department of Economic Development.
Most businesses either hire an in-house PRO or outsource the function to a specialist provider like Ontime to avoid delays, errors, and compliance risks.
UAE government processes are detailed, time-sensitive, and change frequently. A missed renewal or an incorrectly submitted application can result in fines, visa cancellations, or operational disruptions.
Outsourcing PRO services means you have a dedicated expert managing every deadline and document — without the cost of a full-time in-house hire. For businesses managing a growing workforce, it’s one of the simplest ways to eliminate a significant compliance risk. And if you’re already using Ontime for EOR or PEO services, PRO support can sit seamlessly alongside your existing HR arrangement.
Ontime manages the full range of UAE government liaison and documentation, including:
Whether you need a single clearance or ongoing support across a large workforce, Ontime handles it with precision and speed.
Yes. Ontime regularly manages PRO services for businesses with large, multi-nationality workforces — each with different visa categories, documentation requirements, and renewal timelines. We track every deadline and manage every touchpoint across the entire workforce, so nothing falls through the cracks. The more employees you have, the more value a structured PRO function delivers.
Missing a visa or trade license renewal in the UAE carries real consequences — overstay fines, visa cancellations, restrictions on new work permits, and in some cases, operational disruptions to the business itself.
When Ontime manages your PRO function, renewals are tracked proactively and processed well ahead of deadlines. You’re notified in advance, documentation is prepared early, and submissions happen on time. Reactive fixes are far more expensive than a managed process — this is exactly what PRO outsourcing prevents.
Ontime has been operating in the UAE since 2011, with offices in Dubai Investment Park, Garhoud, and JAFZA. Our PRO team works with UAE government systems daily — MOHRE, GDRFA, DED, and relevant free zone authorities — and stays current with every process update and regulatory change.
That institutional knowledge matters. Government processes in the UAE are updated regularly, and knowing how to navigate them efficiently — without errors or unnecessary back-and-forth — comes from years of hands-on experience.
Simply get in touch with the Ontime team at +971 4 256 6333 or info@ontimeuae.com. We’ll start with a brief on your current requirements — workforce size, visa types, upcoming renewals, and any existing gaps — and confirm the scope and timeline from there.
